The strength of a department lies in good collaboration between its staff and students. The teachers and laboratory staff of the department of Botany are always ready to help their students inside and outside the class and practical sessions. Under the able guidance of their mentors and with adequate laboratory facilities, the students work hard to touch the pinnacle of success. Scientific excursions, modern laboratory visits and preparation of project reports are regularly arranged by the department. Regular student seminars and special lectures by college teachers and resource persons from other reputed educational and research institutes are arranged. The students, teachers and staff regularly participate in cultural programmes. A garden of medicinal plants has been prepared and nurtured for practical identification purposes. We propose to introduce a Center for Mushroom Culture Certificate Course which will increase chances of employment for students of our College.
